The English Ladies Co. wanted to celebrate the fascinating Celtic Ladies of our past. Long called the Emerald Isle because of its verdant countryside, the colour green has become synonymous with all things Irish. Hence our dark-haired colleen is wearing a gorgeous green dress with an embroidered central panel featuring the shamrock, the national flower of Ireland.
The Celts lived in most areas of Europe in ancient times. Today, traces of their culture and language are passionately preserved in areas of England, especially Cornwall and in Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
